i know a lot of the people who enjoyed this film are also fans of the original 1968 film. i myself have seen it quite a while ago and barely remember much of it. i remember though that all the zombies were very slow and rather weak and in this remake the zombies are also like that.
i suppose that's why i may have found hard to even sit through the film without taking my occasional break now and then. it's like barbara said, and i'm paraphrasing i think, 'they're so slow we could just walk right past them!!'. that having said i know the original film has been a big influence on modern day zombie and horror flicks but nowadays u have movies where zombies can actually run or at least move faster and have more strength than a drunk 85 year old man. this film may seem rather slow to those who may have grown up watching films with faster and stonger horror creatures . i myself have paused the film at minute 61(again)and i feel like taking a nap...anyway if u'r curious about how the old zombies were like then u may wanna watch this flick but if u're expecting a fast paced, scary or innovative fim then u may wanna skip this one. i actually feel that i'm being generous giving it 3 stars...

it's great, you'll love it. Tom Savini, Big George & most of the original team put this baby together. not garbage like day of the dead remake or the action packed yet not nearly as good as original dawn remake.

When this movie was released, several minor cuts had to be made in order to get an "R" rating. These cuts resulted in an 88 minute movie.

I already have this version.

Now, according to IMDB, the "uncut" version is 92 minutes but I have yet to find it....anywhere.

I, for one, would like to see what was cut, and as it turns out, I have never seen the 92 minute version. Is that too much to ask as a die-hard horror movie buff?

If you do a search here on Amazon, you will see that ALL of the hits you get here say 92 minutes in their descriptions. Is this a marketing ploy? I think it is too much of a coincidence that the "uncut" version is officially 92 minutes and the DVD box CLEARLY says 88 minutes run time, but the descriptions all happen to say 92. Someone needs to change something, somewhere.
